Dog's Name: Pup Duke (DUK1225ALAMN) Estimated Breed: Hound mix Approximate Age: 18 weeks Approximate Weight: 20 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Duke! This adorable hound mix is ready to win your heart. Duke was rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from a very full shelter in Alabama, where adoptions were scarce—but he hasn't let his rough start slow him down at all. Duke is a total lover who truly loves everyone he meets. He's a friendly, playful young pup with a sweet, happy-go-lucky personality that makes him a joy to be around. He gets along great with other dogs and is always happy to make new friends, both two and four-legged. Duke is at a wonderful age for training and socialization and is eager to learn and grow into the best companion he can be. He is already neutered and ready to head home with his forever family. Duke will make an amazing dog for a lucky person, couple, or family. Apply today and come meet Duke—he can't wait to shower you with love! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
