She is from Alabama and was found in the home after her human mom had passed away. We are looking to find her a safe place to call home that is understanding of her situation and how hard it must be. Dolly is a senior poodle that doesn't seem to realize she is an old gal. While she is overall lower energy and does enjoy her naps she also is very fond of toys, playtime, and short walks. She has been getting healthier and lost some weight in the last few weeks. She is social and would much rather be with her favorite person than stay home alone. We were told she likes car rides. Dolly was owned by the same lady since she was a pup and sadly that lady recently passed away. Now Dolly is without a home and wants once again to be the pampered princess she is used to being. Potty pads were used in her previous home but she has been doing well going outside. We just watch for signs and take her out often. The cold weather has not bothered this Alabama girl much but she sure looks cute in a little coat anyway. At times she can be barky and it's difficult to know what she is trying to say. We have not had her with children or cats so how she would react is unknown. She spent a week a foster who has 4 dogs and she and the dominant female were not compatible but she did fine with the other 2 female dogs and a male dog. Miss Dolly would love to be someone's one and only again as this is what she is used to. ADOPTION FEE: $450 To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION. Adopters must be 24 years of age. We cannot adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. We are unable to guarantee the breeds of our dogs. WI License #270548.
