Waverly is a 6-year-old Moyen Poodle who’s steadily learning to trust and open up. She survived tough beginnings in a puppy mill and came out of it gentle, quiet, and cautious. Day by day, she’s learning to enjoy things many dogs take for granted—simple comforts, the sounds of a home, the feel of a yard. Waverly tends to be reserved at first, but with a patient family to show her kindness, she’ll start to reveal her sweet and resilient side. She gets along well with other dogs, so she can fit in as a companion to another gentle dog or soak up all the attention as the only pet. She’ll need adopters willing to move at her pace—someone understanding and steady, who can offer calm encouragement as Waverly slowly experiences all that’s new.
