About Perdita
Perdita has been through a lot and she's looking for a place to feel safe again. She’s easily startled by new situations and will need three to six months—and plenty of patience—to truly settle into a new home. Perdita is about 8 going on 9, and her short black and chocolate coat has lost some of its fullness after a stressful time in the shelter. Despite her nervousness, she’s loyal and really wants to connect with people. She’s most at ease with another dog around; sharing a home with a calm, confident canine friend would probably help her rebuild trust faster. When she arrived at her foster home, she immediately hopped on the daybed and seemed relieved to catch a break. She gets along well with other dogs and is good with children. Perdita could use someone who understands she needs time and kindness, but she’ll make a gentle, loyal companion for the right household. Fun fact: Perdita is a Gemini, so curiosity is in her nature.
