About Perdita
Click apply to start the adoption process. Perdita is a gentle soul waiting in southeast Arizona for a patient and loving home. Perdy, as she’s affectionately called, is a beautiful 7-year-old German Shepherd Dog with a black and chocolate brown coat and a short, easy-care look. She was found as a stray and struggled with fear in the shelter, losing quite a bit of weight due to stress. Now, Perdy is safe in foster care, showing her loyal and people-oriented nature—she made herself right at home on the day bed as soon as she arrived! Because of her past experiences, Perdy needs a calm environment and will take time—three to six months—to settle into a new situation, so immense patience is needed. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine companion by her side to help ease her nerves. Once she trusts you, Perdy’s sweetness shines, and she can’t wait to love her new family. Give this wonderful girl the chance she deserves and watch her blossom with your care. Did you know Perdy’s birthday makes her a Gemini? Geminis are known for their playful and inquisitive spirits—traits you’ll find in this special dog once she feels secure in her home. She’s ready to begin her next chapter—are you the one to help her on her journey? Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
