About Sharky
Start your journey together! Apply now. Hey, don’t let the name Sharky fool you—he’s all heart, no teeth! At just a year old and around 40 pounds, Sharky is a soulful, goofy, and sweet mixed-breed pup with a soft spot for snuggles, chew toys, and play sessions with his dog friends. He’s neutered, healthy, and up to date on his vaccinations, so he’s ready for his forever home without delay. Sharky is house-trained and mostly comfortable in his crate—though he feels best with a buddy close or when he can see you nearby. He’ll happily curl up for treats and naps but is still working through a bit of crate anxiety. With a medium energy level, he loves a good Benebone or wrestling match but settles nicely once playtime’s over. Sharky is initially shy, especially around men, but warms up gently and enjoys quiet affection—the discovery of cuddling has been a revelation for him, and now he leans in for those cozy moments. He hasn’t met kids or cats yet, so a gradual introduction and patience will be key if you have a busy household. However, he’s great with other dogs and thrives when he has a friend to play or lounge with. Sharky’s leash skills are progressing, and he’s calm during car rides (as long as he’s securely buckled in). Though he can be a little food-picky, treats like eggs or cheese make meals more exciting for him. He's come a long way from being underweight and is blossoming into a healthy, handsome companion. Keep an eye on your shoes—if they aren’t bacon-scented, they’re probably safe, but he’s got a playful streak! If you’re searching for a loyal, soft-hearted, and playful pup who’s ready to discover the joys of life alongside a patient and kind adopter, Sharky might just be your perfect match. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
