Fig is a 4-year-old, medium-sized pit bull mix in Yonkers, NY, searching for a forever home. She’s a resilient, playful girl who’s bounced back after a tough stretch—her heartworm treatment is complete and she’s feeling great. Fig is spayed, up to date on shots, and fully house- and crate-trained. She sometimes gets a bit carried away with excitement but settles down well in her crate when she needs a break. She’s social and affectionate, quick to roughhouse or snuggle, and absolutely loves her Benebones and frozen kongs stuffed with yogurt and peanut butter. Fig is used to daily play and long walks—she prefers a solid 1-2 hours in the evening, plus a good morning stroll. She walks well on leash but still needs guidance to keep her attention on you instead of other dogs out in the world.
