About Lil Weezy
LIL WEEZY - THE SMALL DOG WHO BEHAVES LIKE HE HAS A SECRET CONTRACT WITH JOY ITSELF (Side effects of meeting him may include involuntary smiling, emotional stability, and snack theft.) Allow me to introduce Lil Weezy, a 38-pound phenomenon who appears to have been assembled by a committee of mischievous angels who were told: "Make a dog who can unhinge a bad day at the hinges." His name? Oh, that's merely the first chapter. Lil Weezy also operates under a self-appointed ceremonial title that changes depending on his mood, weather patterns, and the interpretive dance of his tail. Today he is Lil Weezy, Keeper of Unreasonable Delight. Yesterday he went by Lil Weezy, Treasurer of Pocket Snacks (he takes this one very seriously). On Thursdays he answers only to Lil Weezy the Mildly Magical. He is pure, unfiltered delight wrapped in a fur suit. A bright, slightly chaotic blessing on four legs. His tail moves so fast it may qualify for its own zip code. His trot is a hopeful punctuation mark. His smile looks like sunrise remembered something important. He loves people with alarming sincerity. He greets dogs with the enthusiasm of a man entering a surprise party he planned for himself. He lies on floors like they are emotional support furniture. He investigates treats like he's conducting a congressional hearing. Lil Weezy occasionally trips over his own optimism and keeps right on going, radiating the dignity of someone who has transcended earthly embarrassment. You cannot dull him. You cannot out-joy him. You can only stand back and witness the phenomenon. And beneath every goofy antic, every wiggle, every "hello, I love you, I love you more," sits a soft-hearted sweetness that could calm a storm. If your life has been suspiciously quiet, suspiciously normal, or suspiciously lacking in four-legged wonder... Lil Weezy is ready to turn the mundane into magic. Bring home your daily dose of delight. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. ***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
