He can live with kids over 12 who have experience with big dogs, and possibly with a large female dog over 40 lbs. Dempsey might also adjust to a household with cats if introductions are done slowly. His energy level suits someone who enjoys relaxed walks rather than high-octane adventures. Dempsey is housebroken, leash trained, and knows his basic commands, but his adopter will need to keep working on his confidence and consistency. Because of his flight risk tendency, he’ll need a patient home with vigilance at doors and while outdoors until he settles in. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm-negative.
