About Dempsey
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Dempsey is a striking Neapolitan Mastiff mix with a big presence and an even bigger heart. He currently resides at The Bullpen Way Station and Sanctuary, where he’s looking for a forever home that will give him the security and love he’s always deserved. Dempsey has a medium energy level—he may be a bit reserved with new people and unfamiliar situations, but once he’s comfortable, his playful and goofy side shines through. Dempsey’s early life was filled with instability, which makes him initially cautious and a flight risk. Potential adopters will need to exercise caution with doors and outside access until he feels at ease. He is housebroken and leash trained, already familiar with basic obedience and dog doors. Dempsey would do well in a calm environment, ideally with children over 12 who have prior experience with giant breeds. He may be able to live with a cat or a large female dog (over 40 lbs) if introductions are handled slowly and thoughtfully. He’s fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Dempsey is ready for a fresh start and would thrive with a family committed to understanding his needs and providing ongoing positive reinforcement. National adoptions are accepted, but priority will be given to adopters willing to meet Dempsey in person. Your patience and loving guidance can help this gentle giant finally find his happily ever after. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
