About Mayple

Mayple landed at the rescue in April 2024 after being part of a loving home that did everything possible for her. Once a community cat and the mother to more litters than she should have managed, Mayple was finally brought inside and spayed. Despite her people’s best efforts, she remained timid and struggled after being picked on by another cat in the house, so her family sought out a better place for her to land. She remains shy but is no longer hiding the way she once did. Mayple observes quietly from a comfortable distance while people are present and is gradually gaining confidence in the shelter. She’s not ready for hands-on affection or attention just yet, but there’s a sense that she will warm up with patient and gentle people. She’ll thrive in a calm home with someone willing to put in the time to earn her trust. Mayple is FIV positive. Staff can answer any questions about adopting a cat with FIV.
