About Mayple

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Mayple arrived at the shelter in April 2024 after her previous owners, who had worked diligently to give her a better life, realized she deserved a safer and more peaceful environment. Once a community cat who had several litters before being spayed, Mayple developed a shy nature—especially after facing bullying from another cat in the home. Despite their best intentions, her caretakers knew she needed a space where she could truly flourish. Since joining the shelter, Mayple has slowly begun to come out of her shell. She is still shy but is now brave enough to explore the shelter when people are present, showing early steps of progress. While she isn't quite ready to accept affection yet, shelter staff believe she’s not far from her breakthrough and just needs the right person willing to be patient. Mayple is looking for someone who can help her realize humans aren’t so scary after all—could that be you? As an added note, Mayple is FIV positive; don’t hesitate to ask shelter staff what this really means for adoptive families. Born on April 6, Mayple is an Aries—known for their boldness and resilience, which suits her journey perfectly. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
