About Sammy
Sammy is a gentle soul with a curious heart who's just started settling in at the sanctuary. Right now, he's still opening up, but one thing is clear — he's full of sweetness and has a lot of affection to give. Sammy tends to be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he enjoys slow-paced walks and exploring the world at his own rhythm. He’s currently working on putting on a bit of weight, and his favorite approach is grazing throughout the day. Sammy definitely prefers to eat solo — sharing meals with other dogs is not his style. In dog company, though, he's easygoing and social, just not at the food bowl. Sammy needs a home where he can blossom, feel safe, and be truly cherished, surrounded by people who appreciate his gentle spirit. Note that he does not do well with cats. Sammy was born on April 15, making him an Aries — so there's a spark of independent spirit when the mood strikes. Ready to make a difference for a deserving dog?
