AvailableLibby Lou is a harlequin Great Dane living in Grand Island, NE. She's an adult female with a short coat and an extra-large frame. About Libby Lou
Libby Lou is a Great Dane with an oversized dose of personality. She bounced back from a rough start—rescued in poor condition with several other dogs and so underweight she looked nothing like the powerhouse she is today. Now, she's thriving at well over 100 pounds, always ready to prove she’s just a lap dog in disguise. If you’re standing nearby, brace yourself for the classic “Libby lean”—her affectionate way of showing love that might just knock you off your feet. This girl is house and kennel trained, but she prefers her own space and will settle happily on her bed with a bone. Her past left her with a healthy appetite and some quirks around food—she eats best when her bowl is her own, so feeding separately is wise. Libby Lou gets along with other dogs after proper introductions, but small dogs and cats aren’t a fit given her size and style. She’s awkward but eager in play, slow to trust strangers (especially men), and will bark in a protective way until she feels at home. Once she’s let you in, she’ll stick by your side. Families with young kids or anyone unsteady on their feet might not be the best match, simply because Libby doesn’t grasp just how big she is. She loves her walks, pup cups, and exploring safely behind a tall fence. Goofy, loyal, and always ready for a new adventure, Libby Lou is pure comedy gold wrapped up in a loving, giant package.
