He is house trained and currently located in Grand Island, NE. Vaccinations are up to date, and though he has no special medical needs, he does have a surgically repaired leg that can get stiff in cold weather.
About Zuko
Zuko is a big, lovable Great Dane and cattle dog mix who really thrives in a home with a fully fenced yardāprivacy fencing is preferred, as this guy likes to keep an eye on everything around him. He isnāt the best at recall and tends to alert and chase when someone walks by the fence, but generally settles down if no one makes a fuss over his barking. It takes him a minute to warm up to new people and dogs, but a good sniff and a bit of patience go a long way. He plays hard, especially with dogs who can match his energy, then transforms into a total couch potato. Tug-of-war is his favorite game, and heās not shy about bringing the toy to you. Zuko gets along well with catsāespecially those who arenāt intimidated by his size or enthusiasm. Heās genuinely sweet with tiny kittens and has a gentle side with other animals. On leash, heāll bark at passersby but settles quickly if heās ignored. Zuko wouldnāt do well in a boarding situation and really needs a stable home with structure and guidance. As a puppy, he was hit by a car and his leg, though repaired, can get a little stiff when itās cold outābut it hasnāt slowed him down much at all. Heās house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and hoping for someone who understands him. Zuko is a good dog who just needs a chance to shine. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
