While he’s not yet house trained, he’s healthy and has tested negative for heartworm, Lyme disease, and parasites.
About Sweet Petey
Sweet Petey’s story might have had a rough start, but he hasn’t let that get him down. After being found tied to a fence—and then making his own way to a hose for a drink—he strolled right into animal control without a worry. Since then, he’s become a fast favorite with volunteers, who couldn’t agree on whether to call him Petey or Sweety, so both stuck. He’s friendly, goofy, and quick to settle in wherever he lands, but it’s clear he deserves much more than shelter life. Recently neutered and fully vaccinated, Sweet Petey now waits for someone who matches his spirit. At just over 2 years old and around 69 lbs, he’s energetic and thrives with plenty of movement. He’d be an ideal companion for a jogger or anyone who enjoys long walks. Sweet Petey isn’t house trained yet, so he’ll need someone patient willing to help him learn the ropes. All he really asks for, though, is a real home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
