Smoochie was found running along a busy NJ highway, neglected and frightened, but her spirit remained unbroken. Thanks to a compassionate rescuer, she's now searching for her Forever Foster home where all lifetime expenses are entirely covered. This gentle girl is about four years old and is up to date on vaccines, healthy, and will be spayed before adoption. Smoochie thrives in a calm, quiet environment and prefers a home where people are around more often than not. She delights in walking, hiking, sniffing adventures, and especially cuddling and snuggling with her people. Smoochie is crate trained and house trained, although long-term crating can be stressful for her. A bit shy at first, she quickly seeks attention and companionship once trust is earned—with a few cookies helping to break the ice! Smoochie rides very well in the car and would make a great travel buddy. She needs to be the only pet in a loving, pet-free home and is best matched with someone patient and understanding who can provide daily care and updates.
