About Jake
Jake is a small, soulful pup weighing just 9 pounds, shaped by a tough start in a home with too many dogs and not enough attention. At about a year and a half old, he’s blossoming in foster care and discovering what it means to be loved. His daily joys include playing outdoors with dog friends, especially tug in the yard, and hiding his treasures. Jake’s a quiet dog, rarely barking, and brings a gentle, cautious presence to the home. He’s still working on housetraining and basic commands, but he’s proving himself crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. Jake’s a blend of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Mini Schnauzer, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, and other small breeds, making him truly one of a kind. He tends to be shy, especially with men, and thrives with women and confident canine companions. He’d do best in a calm, patient household with no young children and a physical fence so he can safely enjoy the outdoors. Those with experience helping shy or unsocialized dogs will find him especially rewarding, as he slowly learns trust and shows his affectionate spirit. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and have a little extra patience, Jake has a lot of love to give. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
