About Wilson
Click apply to start the adoption process. Wilson is a sweet, small chihuahua mix around a year and a half old, full of playful energy and enthusiasm for life. He is still perfecting his potty training, leash skills, and puppy manners, learning every day how to be the best dog he can be. Wilson excels in his crate, remaining quiet and content as long as he’s not alone in it. All Wilson really wants is a cozy bed and a loving lap where he can curl up and feel safe. He can be particular with other dogs, preferring smaller friends once he gets to know them, and tends to ignore cats. New Michigan winters are still an adjustment for him, so he’d enjoy a warm home, ideally with older kids who respect his space and understand his playful pawing for attention. Friendly and loving, Wilson is ready to melt your heart and fill your home with joy. Fun fact: with a June 11th birthday, he’s a Gemini—known for being playful and affectionate! Wilson is patiently waiting for a forever family to give him the security and love he so deserves. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Wilson
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahua mixes typically do well in apartments or houses, as long as they have a cozy, safe indoor environment. They bond closely with their humans and thrive in homes where they’re included as part of the family.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahua mixes do not require a lot of outdoor space; short walks and safe playtime outside are enough. They are small dogs and can expend most of their energy indoors.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua mixes can be suitable for homes with older, respectful children. Due to their small size, they may not be the best fit for families with very young kids, as rough play can easily injure them.
