About Bella
Bella is a classic, full Saint Bernard who has come back into rescue after spending years in a loving home. Her previous family had to surrender her due to circumstances entirely out of her control. Bella is a true gentle giant, weighing about 100 pounds. Her medium tricolor coat gives her that unmistakable Saint Bernard look. She is house trained, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative, which makes things easy for an adopter. Bella is calm and easygoing—she gets along with dogs of all sizes and enjoys a steady, peaceful household routine. She’s affectionate, sweet, and very straightforward to care for. For safety reasons, the rescue won’t place Bella in a home with children under five, simply due to her size and the risk of accidentally knocking over small kids. Bella is looking for an indoor home where someone values her company and the presence of a loyal friend. She cannot be left outdoors in the Texas heat, and all adoptions require a home visit. Bella is ready for the next chapter surrounded by comfort and care. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Bella
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Bella, as a Saint Bernard, is best suited for a home with plenty of space and a relatively cool environment. Her large size makes her most at home in a house rather than a small apartment, especially somewhere she can stay inside and out of the Texas heat.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Saint Bernards like Bella appreciate having access to a fenced yard to stretch their legs, but they're not high-energy dogs that require a lot of outdoor time. Regular walks and a spot to relax outdoors when the weather is cool are usually enough.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While Saint Bernards are gentle and patient, their sheer size can be a risk for small children. Bella will not be adopted to households with children under five, but she can be a great companion for families with older kids who understand boundaries.
