About Grace
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Meet Grace, a vibrant 5–6-year-old beagle who is bursting with energy and classic beagle curiosity. With her beautiful brown, white, and tan coat and those signature beagle looks, Grace is house trained and shows excellent manners at home. She thrives with canine companionship—another dog to play with is a must, as she gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and personalities. However, she needs a cat-free household. Typical of her breed, Grace needs plenty of daily exercise: plan on at least two walks every day and a sizable yard with secure fencing for her to roam and play. Be ready for amusing antics, as she loves to explore, dig, and occasionally vocalize with classic beagle 'songs' when she gets excited outdoors—her foster addresses this by simply bringing her inside. A secured 5-ft wall is required for fencing, and if you have a chain link fence, it needs a deep concrete footer to prevent any tunneling escapes. Grace is an enthusiastic 'door darter,' so it is essential that her new family has a solid plan—and ideally experience—for keeping her safe when doors and gates are open, especially when traveling by car (always use a dog seat belt with her). Due to her love of darting out and her strong build, she’s best suited to families without small children or anyone unsteady on their feet. She could benefit from an obedience class to help her leash manners, and her adoption is limited to the Tucson area for her safety. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
