About Rayne
Rayne had a tough start—left behind with her brother in a known dumping spot, wary and covered in ticks, starving and scared. After days of patience from a local couple, she and Memphis were finally safe and able to start healing. Now in foster care, Rayne has opened up into a calm, deeply loyal dog who responds best to gentle voices and steady routines. She walks politely on a leash, goes into her kennel when asked, and gets along well with other dogs. Rayne and her brother have a history of food scarcity, so mealtime requires a little structure: she lets her brother take over if fed together, so separate feeding is best. Otherwise, they're an easy pair—affectionate and quiet. Because Rayne gets anxious with loud voices, a quieter household will be better for her. She’s looking for a home where she’ll be safe, valued, and truly part of the family. Home ownership and a fenced yard are required to adopt Rayne (and Memphis, if you consider both). Rayne is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested positive for heartworm, but is on a slow kill treatment—she can live a normal life during treatment. Her birthday is May 23, making her a fun-loving Gemini—clever, adaptable, and good company. Rayne is in Waynesville, GA. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Rayne
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Rayne's Shepherd/mixed breed background means she does best in a home with room to relax and plenty of stability. A calm, secure household with access to a fenced yard is ideal so she can feel safe.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Large Shepherd/mixed breed dogs like Rayne appreciate a fenced yard for exercise and playtime. While long walks are great, having room to roam safely off-leash gives her the best quality of life.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Rayne is calm and gentle, and Shepherd/mixes can do well with respectful children, especially in quieter households. Sudden loud noises or high activity may make her anxious, so older children would be best.
