About Jackey
Jackey is a young, four-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier and Mastiff mix with a lot to offer. He has a sleek dark brown coat, short but striking, and an eager personality that shines during playtime and walks. Jackey is high energy but thrives on structure, loving his daily routines and especially those long walks and car rides—just watch his expressive eyes when it's time to go. In foster care, he's made impressive progress with leash training and has picked up basic commands quickly, thanks to ongoing positive reinforcement. He's house trained and gets along well with dogs of all sizes and ages. Jackey enjoys a little friendly company at the dog park and is usually calm and polite when meeting new people or dogs. While he looks tough, his demeanor is gentle and affectionate—he craves leadership and gentle correction, not just treats. He responds well to discipline and is an eager follower for a consistent family willing to keep up the structure he's learned. Jackey was rescued from a difficult situation, but his gratitude shows in his excellent manners and cheerful outlook. Now, he just needs the right home to enjoy the second chance he deserves.
