About Fernando

Meet Fernando! Your next best friend and professional cuddle buddy. This 2-year-old, 68-pound American Staffordshire Terrier is full of affection and has a heart of gold. A perfect mix of playful and snuggly, Fernando adores his toys—especially chew toys that keep him happily entertained for hours. He thrives on wrestling and playing with other dogs, but he's equally content curling up beside you on the couch or snuggling in bed. Fernando adjusted remarkably well in his first foster home, bonding quickly with his foster family and the resident dogs. He is well-socialized, shows no signs of aggression, and responds well to correction from fellow canines. As a houseguest, he’s a breeze—potty training was accomplished in just a week, and he navigated stairs in three days. Daily walks help him expend energy, after which he's happy to unwind and enjoy family time. Rather fond of car rides and outdoor adventures, Fernando is looking for a family ready to embrace both his playful spirit and his cuddly nature. Following successful TPLO surgery, he’s in recovery and needs a loving home where he can safely heal while being included in daily activities. He’s not yet been cat-tested, but an update will come soon. Fernando is eager to start this new chapter of his life and is ready for companionship, playtime, and plenty of snuggles. Could that be with you?
