About Tink
Start your journey together! Apply now. Tink is a five-year-old, 34-pound "pocket pit" who adores cuddling and will happily try to claim a permanent spot on your lap. She sleeps soundly through the night, waking up when you do, and delights in her morning walks in the park where she greets everyone with her gentle, friendly nature. Tink loves people and is incredibly affectionate—she's always eager to say hello and wag her tail, even around children, although she hasn't had direct interactions with them yet. While she is very quiet and rarely barks, Tink does get quite excited around other dogs and needs continued training to help her manage her enthusiasm. She is fully house trained and shows no signs of separation anxiety, settling down to nap when left alone. Tink has lived successfully with cats, though she may want to give chase if they run quickly; with supervision, she can be in a home with confident cats. Her foster notes she doesn't react to toys or chew on belongings, so your shoes and furniture are safe! Tink’s leash manners are improving, and she prefers quieter neighborhoods to busy city streets, making her an ideal companion for adopters in less bustling areas. Due to her energy and need for structured exercise and ongoing training, a home with prior experience with similar breeds is preferred. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, healthy, and up to date on core vaccines. Tink is available through a foster-to-adopt program, and all prospective families are encouraged to inquire for a chance to welcome this extra-cuddly sweetheart into their lives. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Tink
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier mixes generally thrive in environments that provide a stable routine, enough space to move around, and opportunities for exercise. They do well in both apartments and homes if their physical and mental needs are met, but quieter or suburban settings can be ideal for those happier in less crowded areas.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A terrier/pit bull mix benefits from regular outdoor access and daily walks or playtime. While a fenced yard is a bonus, frequent trips to parks or long leash walks can also meet their activity requirements.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
These mixes often have loving, gentle natures and can do very well with children, especially when properly socialized from a young age. Supervision is recommended with young kids to ensure positive interactions.
