Meet Wynona! 9.5 months old | 33 lbs (as of 5/12) | Pittie/Terrier Mix | Petite perfection How this girl has been in the shelter system since November without a single application is honestly beyond us — because everyone who meets Wynona absolutely falls in love. And once you meet her, you’ll understand why. Wynona is a petite pittie mix at just 33 lbs and likely fully grown, making her the perfect compact-sized best friend. She’s got the sweetest personality, a playful spirit, and a face that will absolutely melt you. This social butterfly is cat friendly, dog friendly, and human friendly — basically, if someone is willing to be her friend, Wynona is all in. She loves to play with other dogs, is welcoming with new people and visitors, and brings such a joyful, easygoing energy wherever she goes. She’s the kind of dog who loves a good walk, enjoys playtime, and would happily join you for adventures — but she’s not nonstop chaos. Wynona has a lovely medium energy level and is equally content hanging out with a chew toy or relaxing for a quiet afternoon nap after her fun is done. And brains? She’s got those too. Wynona is fully house trained, walks nicely on leash, and already knows a solid list of commands including sit, paw, wait, stay, and off. She’s eager to please, smart, and clearly loves learning. Wynona is currently learning that alone time is okay. While the crate isn’t her favorite place when her people leave, she’s actually making great progress settling calmly when left loose in a puppy-proofed home environment. Because of this, she’d do best with an adopter willing to continue helping her build confidence and set her up for success as she adjusts.
