About Minnie Niobe
Minnie Niobe is a true sweetheart who thrives in a calm environment. She’s done well on RV camping trips, handling new situations with confidence as long as things aren’t too loud or chaotic. Minnie is sensitive around young children, especially those under seven—barking and pacing when things get noisy or unpredictable—and she’s best suited for a home without small kids. She loves to cuddle and seeks closeness, though she’s particular about people handling her legs and feet. That’s a work in progress. Minnie plays rough and rowdy with other dogs and has shared her home with two males, matching energy during play. She often needs a playmate to get engaged in games like fetch. Around other dogs, she gets along easily, and she’s even coexisted calmly with a cat for a short while. At big events like farmers markets or lively gatherings, Minnie moves through the crowd calmly while staying close to her person. She’s house trained and prefers lounging in a chair to most other activities, but she is truly happiest outside and absolutely needs a fenced yard so she can run to her heart’s content. Kennels make her anxious and she’ll avoid them if possible. While she’ll confidently navigate stairs leading outside, steps to the basement make her wary. She’s a vocal dog, often “talking” to her people throughout the day, making her a quirky companion. Give Minnie Niobe a calm home with room to run and you’ll have a loyal friend who’s ready to relax beside you. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
