About Rex
Rex has spent more than five months in boarding since being pulled from Miami-Dade and it's weighing on him. He’s an energetic, loving, and strong German Shepherd, about three years old, who lives for his walks and the company of people. Rex knows some basic commands and is actively working on his leash manners—he can get excited and forget his size, pulling or trying to jump up, so someone comfortable with a large, powerful dog is important. He’s eager to please, smart, and will thrive with ongoing training and daily structure. Everyone at the kennel loves him, and volunteers who’ve had him overnight rave about how well he settles and how great he is with kids. Rex seems to get along with other dogs, though any introductions should be managed with meet-and-greets to make sure personalities are a match. Rex is house trained, neutered, and vaccinated. He’s currently in Pompano Beach, FL, and really needs a home—foster or permanent—where he won’t be alone in boarding anymore. Click apply to start the adoption process.
