About Kira
Kira is a four-year-old, large purebred German Shepherd who has made a remarkable recovery since her rescue. When she first arrived, her condition was dire; she battled heartworms and was extremely underweight. After months in foster care, Kira’s transformation is clear—her coat gleams, she’s added healthy weight, and she’s full of energy. She enjoys swimming, bouncing around the yard, and engaging in play with toys and other dogs. Despite her playful streak, Kira is just as happy snoozing by your side on the couch. Crate trained and polite on a leash, she has a steady routine. Kira is deeply loyal and protective, naturally guarding her home and people. For this reason, she needs an experienced German Shepherd owner, ideally in a quiet home without children or cats. Kira does well with dogs and is content to rest quietly in her crate when visitors arrive. Ready to bring a devoted Shepherd into your life? Make it official, apply to adopt!
