>> - & << Rachel's owner passed away and her inherited family could no longer care for her. Rachel was born without eyes, a condition called Anophthalmia. She's managed her entire life without and doesn't seem to mind; and in fact navigates well since she's used to compensating with her hearing and snoot. She's incredibly well-adjusted and sweet, but requires a harness so that her new family can be HER seeing-eye companions! Extra verbal and gentle touch communication, plus navigable home layouts are essential for her well-being. She's SO gentle and even tolerates nail trimmings well even if she moans and groans about it. Ideally, she should be about 50-55 lbs and is currently a little chonky, but with a little weight management, she's golden! She's been getting along well with other well-adjusted pups with good boundaries and has even started to play!
