Tate is an approximately 5-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix weighing around 33 pounds. He was brought to the shelter as a found dog. While his start here was a bit uncertain, what matters now is that he is safe and getting the care he needs as we work toward finding him the right home. When Tate first arrived, he was very scared and unsure, showing some nervous, defensive behavior. In just a few short days, he has already made incredible progress. With familiar people, he is now playful, excited, and eager for attention—showing us the puppy he truly is. Tate is still very much an untrained puppy and will need guidance, structure, and patience as he continues to build confidence and learn. He has shown a strong interest in other dogs and would likely benefit from a canine companion to help him continue to come out of his shell. He is a handsome young dog who is still rough around the edges, but his rapid progress shows just how much potential he has in the right environment.
