About Jorge
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Meet Jorge, a senior who finds himself in search of a new beginning after his family could no longer care for him. Though his morning started with fear and uncertainty, Jorge is a gentle soul who prefers a calm environment and doesn’t appreciate being rushed or cornered, especially when it comes to harnesses. Since coming into rescue, he has shown himself to be more sad and confused than challenging, responding best to understanding and patience from those around him. Jorge is about 12 years old and weighs around 20 lbs, and if you’ve ever wondered what a giant chihuahua or a corgi on stilts looks like, he could fit the bill—or maybe even a tiny shepherd or husky mix! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and in good health for his age. Jorge has a history of living with other dogs and is cooperative with routines, showing a clear preference for having access to a secure yard rather than going for regular walks. He adapts well and wants nothing more than a peaceful place to settle in with a patient family. All communication and adoption steps are managed via email for your convenience, with meet-and-greets available by appointment in Northern NJ. This rescue organization is volunteer-run, with all dogs living in foster care until adoption. You’re encouraged to check your email regularly to ensure a smooth process. What are you waiting for?
