About Helen
Helen and her best buddy Henry are a bonded pair of small dogs looking for a quiet home together. Both are puppy mill survivors who have come a long way since being found alone in an abandoned house. Helen, a small black Miniature Schnauzer mix, is about 9–10 years old and weighs around 10 lbs. She has medium-length, fluffy fur with a distinctly soft tail and floppy ears. Though mostly blind and partially deaf, Helen’s gentle spirit shines through—she moves confidently around the house and has a calm, low-maintenance personality. Helen rarely barks, enjoys sunny spots for naps, and brings a steady, peaceful energy into any room. Because she isn’t leash trained and needs help onto furniture, a fenced yard is a must. She is house trained, does well riding in the car, and handles both the groomer and vet like a champ. Helen gets along well with other dogs and has shared space with children as young as 2, but is best suited for families with kids ages 6 and above. Sensitive tummies mean she takes a probiotic, but she’s otherwise healthy and eating well. Both Helen and Henry are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, and take monthly preventatives. If you’re looking for a devoted, easygoing pair who will relax at your side and warm your home, Helen and Henry might be your perfect match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
