About Phoebe
Click apply to start the adoption process. Phoebe is a stunning hound, both inside and out! At three and a half years old and weighing around 52 pounds, she radiates energy and enthusiasm, especially when she heads out for runs with her foster mom. Her adaptable nature makes her an excellent fit for apartment or condo living, and she’s both potty and crate trained. Phoebe gets along well with other dogs, but her ideal home will be a calm, patient one. Having experienced physical abuse at a young age, she builds trust with women much more quickly, and will need significant patience, understanding, and time if a man is part of her new family. Her strong sense of “stranger danger” means she requires careful decompression and gentle introductions so she can learn she’s finally safe. Phoebe is truly exceptional, but she isn’t the simplest companion—she needs someone experienced with dogs who is dedicated to helping her blossom. If you’re someone who can offer unwavering support, time, and patience, you might be just the person she’s been hoping for. With you, Phoebe has the chance to finally start her best chapter yet. As a fun fact, Phoebe is a Pisces—dogs born under this sign are said to be deeply intuitive and sensitive, making them especially attuned to their person’s emotions. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
