Bunker is a chocolate Retriever/Shepherd mix with a big personality and even bigger heart. At around 50-55 lbs, he’s a sturdy, joyful companion with a knack for making his people laugh—especially with his self-amusing ball games. He settles in well at home when left alone given access to a dog door and seems to enjoy his own company just as much as time with his humans. Bunker gets along with kids and, while he tolerates certain other dogs and cats, he clearly prefers life as the star in a one-pet home. His family describes him as playful and goofy—almost 9 years old but bounces around like a dog half his age. Expect plenty of snuggles, some selective hearing (unless you’re holding a treat bag), and nightly foot-of-the-bed snoozes with occasional pillow invasions. He’s neutered, current on all vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention, so he’s ready for his next adventure. Quirks include a healthy dislike of squirrels and skunks, indifference to small dogs, and a fondness for stuffed toys. Bunker would thrive with a family ready to let him take center stage.
