Howdy there! Howie here, and I'm wondering why we haven't started our forever together, yet! I'm an almost 6-year-old, 70-ish-pound, German Shepherd mix fella. I was found roaming around a nearby town with my friend Bernadette (who already got adopted). I'm such a good, smart, high-energy boy! I'm already house and crate trained, and I'm great on the leash too! I get along with other playful dogs my size after proper intros. I play pretty rough, so it would have to be a dog who can keep up and put up with me. I haven't been cat tested yet, but I can be if needed. I am great with kids, but I might accidentally knock down little bittie kiddies, so bigger sturdier kids are best. My forever home must have a privacy fenced yard for me to run and play in. Some of my favorite activities are playing fetch, playing in the water, and going on car rides! My perfect human would be someone who likes to be active, play ball, go for walks, etc., and who will take me on adventures to dog-friendly places. I am a fantastic alert dog, as I have a big shepherd bark if there’s something on the other side of the fence.
