About Merlin

Merlin and Shadow are a tight-knit pair of 3-year-old gray neutered male cats who have gone through a huge transformation since their feral days. These brothers stick together, with Shadow always trailing Merlin. Merlin, the lighter gray of the two with striking green eyes, is friendly but still shy—he’ll accept some petting and can be a lap cat if you pick him up, although he hasn’t quite figured out how to ask for laps yet. Merlin rolls for belly rubs, loves lower back scratches, toys, and treats, and enjoys investigating other cats. He was even curious about dogs at his foster home. Shadow, with his deep golden eyes and darker coat, tends to be more reserved, often looking to Merlin for reassurance. Still, he’s shown he can be brave, especially if it means getting chin scratches and treats. He purrs up a storm once he feels safe. Both cats are affectionate and sweet but will need a patient, cat-experienced adopter who’s willing to give them time to acclimate and bond. Both have been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for parasites, so they’re ready for a fresh start. These bonded brothers are in Puyallup, WA. Give them the stable, gentle home they deserve. Start your journey together! Apply now.
