About Paisley
Paisley is a 6-year-old Black Mouth Cur and Labrador Retriever mix, coming in at about 50 pounds with a short, rich red-orange coat. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and loves hanging out with people—especially curled up on the couch next to someone watching TV. Paisley enjoys chewing on cow hooves and delights in de-stuffing toys. She’s been with the rescue since summer 2022 and has found placement difficult due to resource guarding around other dogs, particularly with food and toys. However, she does not guard from people and can be around other dogs if treats and toys are out of the picture. Paisley thrives in a quiet home without other pets, ideally with a fenced yard to help her get much-needed exercise. She wants to join a family that enjoys being outdoors and going for walks but would do best avoiding dog parks where toys may be left around. She gets along with children and would love to find a stable, loving family willing to give her the companionship she craves. According to her November 1st birthday, Paisley is a Scorpio—known for their loyalty and determination. Paisley is currently in Evansville, WI. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Paisley
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Paisley, as a Black Mouth Cur and Labrador Retriever mix, prefers a home with access to a fenced yard and regular outdoor activity. She does well in an environment where she can relax indoors but has safe, secure space to play outside.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A medium to large yard is ideal for Paisley, since both Black Mouth Curs and Labradors enjoy stretching their legs and having room to run and play. Apartment living is possible but would require consistent daily exercise.
