About Max
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Max was surrendered to the New York Animal Care Centers in December when his family moved somewhere pets weren't allowed. Since then, a dedicated foster stepped up to save him, and Max has blossomed into a loving, smart goofball who adores walks, playtime with furry friends, puzzle toys, bones, and snuggles. Previously, Max lived peacefully with small dogs and children, and he continues to enjoy play with pup pals, especially those his own size, and neighborhood kids alike. Max is about 1 year and 9 months old, weighs approximately 72 lbs, and is a Lab mix who is neutered, house trained, crate trained, walks well on a harness, and is vocal when happy, making cute "Scooby sounds" when greeting you. Whether in a home with or without a fenced yard, Max will thrive given regular walks and would love to join you on hikes or adventures. He started out shy and scared, but has gained confidence in foster care—his playful nature now shines and will only grow brighter in a loving forever home. If you're seeking a devoted companion who is affectionate, friendly, and ready to become your adventure or snuggle buddy, Max is waiting for you. Start your journey together! Apply now.
