Max was surrendered to the New York Animal Care Centers in December when his family was moving to a NO PET apartment. He previously lived with small dogs and children. His time was coming to an end and we had to find someone to foster him to save his life. This wonderful woman stepped up and saved him and is currently fostering him. Max would love to be in a home where he has another pup to play with, he currently has two small friends and while they get along he loves to play with his doodle friend across the street since they’re similarly sized and love to play chase! Max is good with neighborhood kids he meets getting scratches and wants to play with them too! He can live in a home with or without a fence as long as he gets his walks, We think Max will make a great walking or hiking buddy as he loves to explore and smell new smells! Max tends to be vocal, we call it Scooby sounds, when you get home, it’s his little way of letting you know he missed you! :Max came to us a very scared and shy boy who just wanted love and security. In the short time he’s been with us he’s really come out of shell and become the boy that was always there.
