Murry landed at Place For Cats as a 6-week-old kitten straight from NY's city shelter, suffering from a badly infected eye that needed months of treatment before surgery. After finally losing the injured eye, he bounced back with a one-eyed swagger and grew into a striking tuxedo. Murry’s been the apple of his foster mom’s eye, hanging out with her and other foster cats, but as he’s matured, he’s shown a strong preference for being top cat. He’s become increasingly intolerant of senior female cats and needs a home where he can either reign solo or share space with a younger female. Murry craves affection and offers it in return — he’s a constant seeker of pets, snuggles, and attention. He’s a large, neutered male, up to date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. Murry is house trained and best suited for someone who wants an affectionate companion who likes having all eyes on him. He deserves a home where he’s the focus or the older kitty with a young sidekick.
