Murry came to Place For Cats as a 6 week old kitten from NYC Animal Care & Control's At Risk list. One eye was destroyed from untreated kitten virus, bulging and infected. We took Murry to Dr. van der Woerdt at the Animal Medical Center who had us administer antibiotics and ointment for about 4 months to eliminate infection before the residue of what was left of the eyeball could be surgically removed. Murry came through his surgery like a champ, turning into a handsome one-eyed bandit. His foster mom fell in love with him; and for quite some time there were no applicants, so Murry hung with his foster mom and foster mates for quite awhile. However, the past year has seen Murry become increasingly intolerant of his foster mom's own senior kitties, going after the females and incessantly disrupting affection being shown to the senior kitties. Murry needs - and DESERVES - to be Top Cat in a loving home where he is the older kitty, preferably with a younger female kitty. This would be his ideal home together with his mom and or dad who shower him with attention. Murry is HIGHLY affectionate, seeking and giving affection constantly. He is neutered (but doesn't realize it, we think,) FeLV/FIV tested negative, current in vaccinations and microchipped.
