About Leela
Meet Leela, a goofy, affectionate American Staffy mix with an unshakeable love for people and a big collection of stuffed toys she’s always eager to show off. She lights up when someone walks through the door, wagging and prancing, but expects you to pay due respects to whichever plush animal she’s currently obsessed with. Leela survived neglect and cancer, so she doesn’t take things for granted—she soaks up affection wherever she can get it, whether that means burrowing onto your pillow or curling up by your side at night. She’s house trained, never chews on your stuff, and is motivated by treats and simple praise. She’s content to learn and has nailed several basic commands, though you’ll need to make slow, proper introductions with other dogs. She doesn't do well with cats. Loud, sudden noises can startle her, but most of the time she’s happy-go-lucky and gentle. Loyal through and through, Leela has a strong survivor’s spirit, and just wants to love and be loved back. Fun fact: Leela’s birthday makes her a determined and resilient Scorpio—tough, loyal, and impossible not to admire. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
