About Scooby
Scooby is a medium-sized, young American Staffordshire Terrier brimming with charm and energy. He fits the role of the goofy, loving "teddy bear"—always up for a game or a snuggle before zipping off for more playtime. Scooby gets along well with other dogs and plays enthusiastically, with plenty of vocal, happy barking. He walks nicely on leash when using a harness, but will absolutely ham it up and roll around when you try to put it on, so his humans usually just leave it on. Variety in toys and bones keeps him busy, and his favorite downtime is sprawled on a big bean bag chair. House training is a work in progress—Scooby is improving each week but still learning to ask when he needs out. He’s also working through separation anxiety and currently takes medication to help him stay calm in his crate. Expect some initial whining, and know he’s managed an Houdini act or two, so anyone adopting Scooby should be prepared for creative escapes and a need for company—he doesn’t do well left alone for long. He is fed twice a day and gets probiotics for an occasionally sensitive tummy. Scooby is affectionate but high-octane: cuddly in bursts, then back to play. He absolutely loves people, gets along with other dogs, and does best if someone is home most of the time. He does not do well with cats, as chasing is far too tempting. If you want a social, goofy, energetic companion who thinks every moment is playtime, Scooby could be just what you’re looking for. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
