About Proton
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Proton, a striking black and white Domestic Short Hair with a heart full of hope and a personality ready to blossom. Rescued from a difficult situation, Proton and his brother Electron found safety together, and it’s clear that Proton cherishes their bond. Though still shy, Proton shows his playful side when spending time with his brother and is quick to respond to treats and meals—he’s highly food motivated and eats both wet and dry food with enthusiasm. Proton has received all age-appropriate vaccinations, is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and is up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He’s healthy and currently shows no signs of upper respiratory illness, and his FeLV test results were negative. He gets along well with other cats and could potentially adjust to a calm dog with careful, slow introductions. Because of his shy nature, Proton will thrive in homes where children respect his boundaries and understand not to pick him up. Adoptive families will be provided with copies of Proton’s medical records, microchip registration instructions, a starter supply of his food, and educational handouts on feline upper respiratory infections and proper introductions. Litter box habits are excellent, and it’s suggested to start Proton in a quiet room and gradually expand his space for a stress-free transition. The adoption process includes a contract review, meet-and-greet, and comprehensive support to ensure a smooth transition. FYI: As a Sagittarius (born in mid-December), Proton may surprise you with his adventurous side in the future! Think you are the one? Submit an application!
