About Danny Boy
Danny Boy spent his early life running loose before being trapped and rescued. He's a small, black, fluffy Lhasapoo—possibly with some Schnoodle—now adjusting to life indoors after surviving as a stray. Danny Boy is housebroken, crate trained, and walks on leash, though he still carries the caution of a dog who spent his formative months outside. Patience is a must, as he isn’t quick to allow handling or snuggles yet, but with each week he’s showing more comfort, lounging inside and showing interest in toys. Danny Boy will bond deeply but needs an experienced adopter who has worked with semi-feral or very fearful dogs. He is best in an adult home as the only dog or with a gentle female companion, and a secure fenced yard is non-negotiable for his safety and well-being. He gets along with cats and dogs, but unpredictable situations may overwhelm him. Fully vetted and neutered, Danny Boy is waiting for someone patient and kind to help him build trust and truly thrive indoors. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Danny Boy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Danny Boy, a Lhasa Apso/Miniature Poodle mix, usually thrives in a quiet home with adults who understand semi-feral or anxious dogs. He benefits most from a secure, stable environment with minimal chaos.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Danny Boy needs a safely fenced yard to decompress and adjust, especially given his background as a stray. He's not a high-energy dog, but the outdoor space helps him feel secure and gives him room to explore on his own terms.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Given Danny Boy's fearful nature and need for calm, Lhasa Apso/Miniature Poodle mixes like him are best placed in adult-only homes or households with older, respectful children who understand how to give him space.
