About Cinder
Cinder’s never had the basics most dogs get—a family, a couch, even a real backyard. He came into the system as a puppy with his siblings and spent childhood in a kennel while others learned simple joys. He and a few siblings still watch life pass by in shelters, hoping for the right person, but Cinder finally landed a long-term foster and now has a real shot to find his own place. He’s about a year and a half, likely a Husky/Staffy mix with a medium black and white coat and a calm, expressive face. Cinder lights up around other dogs and does much better with a canine friend. He’s fine with cats and does well with children ten and up; toddlers can be too much for him right now. He grew up mostly around female staff, so he needs a little extra time with men, though he’s working on it in his foster home and making steady progress. Once he trusts you, he’s loyal, gentle, and wants nothing more than to be loved deeply. He just needs someone patient—no drama, no perfect home. Just someone who wants to show him the world isn’t so scary. Ready to give him a chance? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
