About Iris

Iris is a petite, striking black medium-sized Pit Bull Terrier mix who’s about two to three years old. She’s had a tough past, coming to rescue very pregnant, giving birth just after arrival, and giving everything to raise her puppies well. Now her pups are ready for their own homes, and Iris is hoping someone will give her that same chance for a quiet, stable life. She’s delightfully affectionate and playful. Iris gives gentle kisses, soaks up snuggles, and seems happiest cuddled up on a couch with her people. She loves walks and being included in daily life, always eager for attention without being needy. Iris thrives in a home where her loyalty is met with just as much love in return. Iris does well with other dogs and is known for a gentle, friendly demeanor—she’s also good with children. One clear preference: no cats, please, she’s not suited for a home with them. Iris is house trained, up to date on vaccinations, and her spay appointment is scheduled soon. This resilient mama has given her all; now she’s looking for someone who’ll treasure her just as much. This could be the start of something paw-some.
