About Freya
Freya is a ten-year-old chihuahua who arrived at her foster home with three of her adult pups after living under a shed outside. She brings more energy than most dogs half her age—watch her in the backyard and you’ll see her flying after a ball, as if she’s not a senior at all. At just 9 pounds, she’s a world-class snuggler and burrower, often vanishing beneath blankets just like any true chihuahua. Freya is fine with confident cats but will playfully chase shy ones. She’s expanded her circle beyond just chihuahuas and now enjoys other friendly dogs too. Wet weather isn’t her thing; if it’s raining or the grass is damp, she uses a porch potty system instead of going outside. Freya feels easily overwhelmed by very young kids, so a home with children eight and older will be more comfortable for her. Give her a cozy bed and some patient love, and you’ll have an entertaining and loyal little companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
