Questions about Schaefer
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Schaefer, being a pure-bred German Shepherd Dog, is best suited for a spacious home, ideally with a yard and room to roam. Households with acreage or securely fenced properties fit this breedās drive for activity and need for structured outdoor time.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
German Shepherds like Schaefer need a lot of outdoor space to burn off their energy. A big yard or open land is right up their alley, especially for a dog his size and age.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While German Shepherds are loyal and can bond well with families, Schaefer in particular should not be placed with young children as he requires experienced handling and is very large. Older, dog-savvy children may do better, but his placement should be discussed carefully.
