About Suni
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Suni, affectionately known as Sooner or Grandpa, a gentle and curious Havanese with a story of resilience. Suni’s early years were anything but easy, as he came from a hoarding situation with over 50 animals, all suffering from neglect. Yet in foster care, he has blossomed and is discovering what it means to be loved. Suni thrives on playtime with his foster siblings, loves being close to his people, and charms everyone with his Einstein-like wispy eyebrows and endearing "don’t stop petting me" paw. He’s always up for a good chew toy and enjoys exploring his surroundings, though he’s still getting the hang of car rides. Suni is doing well in his journey to becoming house-trained and is crate-trained, though he prefers not to be left alone for long stretches—a patient, present household suits him best. He does wonderfully with other dogs and has a gentle approach that suggests he would be fine with cats. While Suni is calm and loving, very young children may make him nervous, so a home with kids over five is preferred. Suni is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to join a family in CT or nearby states who can continue to let him grow. Start your journey together! Apply now.
