About Deitz
Deitz is an Old American Bulldog and Boxer mix with the sturdy build and loyal heart typical of his background. Born in 2013, he still bursts with energy and isn’t shy about showing off his playful side. After a good round of hard play, he’s happy to curl up with you—and yes, he fully believes he’s a lap dog, no matter his size. Deitz goes wild for bones, deer antlers, and squeaky toys, and he’s happiest in a space where he can get his energy out. A fenced yard is ideal, but a commitment to daily exercise will do the trick if you don’t have one. He’s great in the car and is always game for a hike or a long walk. Don’t underestimate him because of age; Deitz has miles left in him. He thrives in a calm home with less foot traffic and does best with medium and large dogs. He doesn’t get along with cats or smaller dogs and is best suited to older, considerate kids who can appreciate his strength. Deitz warms up to women more easily than men and needs a little patience and stability to feel secure, but once he trusts you, he’s all in. After a tough loss, he’s looking for safety and a family who won’t let him down again. Click apply to start the adoption process.
