Chance
AvailableChance is a young, extra-large male American Bulldog currently in Elizabethtown, PA. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Despite his difficult start, he is now mobile and active, but future adopters should be prepared for possible mobility support as he ages.
About Chance
Chance is a bold, stubborn young American Bulldog with a big frame and an even bigger personality. He came from tough beginnings, left by a breeder because he couldn’t use his back legs; multiple vets said he'd never walk again. But with grit, rehab, wheelchair time, and cold laser treatments, Chance surprised everyone—he's now out of the chair, moving on his own, and tearing through fields, even if it looks a bit 'wonky.' He’s food motivated and knows hand signals for basic commands. Like most bulldogs, he can be headstrong and isn’t easily persuaded to do anything he doesn’t want. He gets along with most dogs but doesn't tolerate shihtzus. He’s fine with cats—he basically ignores them unless they push his buttons. For his future, because mobility issues could return as he ages, a home with no stairs or just a couple is ideal. He’s far too rambunctious around young children and a bit too fixated on them, so he’s not a good match for homes with little kids. Stable, committed adopters who can meet his needs are a must. Chance is looking for a home where he can race around, enjoy treats, and keep you guessing. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Chance
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chance, as an American Bulldog, does best in a home with enough space to stretch out and with access to a secure yard. He especially needs a stable environment with few stairs due to his mobility history.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
American Bulldogs like Chance really thrive with a fenced yard where they can play and burn off energy. He’ll need room for short runs and exercise but doesn't require acres to be happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While many American Bulldogs can live with children, Chance specifically is not well-suited for homes with small kids due to his rambunctious style and fixation on them.
