About Nisha
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Nisha, affectionately called Nish or Baby Nish, a petite 2-year-old Boxer tipping the scales at just 42 lbs. Once a skinny stray, she’s traded her tough days for a life full of cuddles and peanut butter. Nisha is the ultimate social butterfly: outgoing, loving, silly, and playful—all the hallmarks of a classic Boxer. Her superpower? Winning over everyone she meets with her wiggly, pouty charm. You’ll rarely be alone with Nisha around; her love language is snuggling—ideally right on top of you or making sure every trip to the bathroom is a shared adventure! When she’s not glued to the couch, her medium-high energy means daily walks are a must, and when zoomies strike, get ready for laughter. Nisha delights in bestowing her toys upon you (even in the shower!) and keeping a close, caring eye on her people. She especially loves joining her foster dad at work and shaking her toys to her heart’s content. With some boundaries still in training (like leash manners and keeping four paws on the floor), Nisha will thrive in a home with an appreciation for her breed and patience for her exuberance. Sturdy, dog-savvy kids are great, and while she’s happiest as the only pup, the right dog sibling might be considered. She gets on well with dog-savvy cats and is mostly housebroken, especially when her people are home. Crates aren’t her thing, but cuddling certainly is! Nisha is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to become the center of your world. She’s available for adoption to IL, CT, and neighboring state residents through One More Dog Rescue. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Nisha
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Boxers thrive in homes where they receive plenty of attention, companionship, and exercise. They do well in both houses with securely fenced yards and larger apartments, as long as their energy needs are met with daily walks and play.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Boxers benefit from a safe, fenced outdoor area to play, though they can adapt well to homes without yards if exercised regularly. Daily walks and play sessions are essential to keep them happy and healthy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Boxers are generally excellent with children due to their playful and gentle nature. They are patient and protective, but supervision is important with very young kids due to their exuberance.
