About Bonnie
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Bonnie, also affectionately known as Miss Priss! Bonnie is a gorgeous Boxer with a heartwarming story. After being surrendered to a shelter with her housemate, she’s learning to love life again and can’t wait to find her forever family. She’s discovered that people are wonderful, snuggles are the best, and love is always worth seeking—almost as much as she loves chasing squirrels (but for different reasons, of course). Bonnie has a medium energy level and excels at both playtime and melting into cuddles for movie nights. Her sweet, affectionate nature shines, especially when she uses her signature move: politely presenting herself when she needs something, accompanied by her famous grumble-moan for added flair. Bonnie is the queen of helpfulness in the kitchen, always on the lookout for taste-testing opportunities, and will charm you with her Boxer antics unless you set clear boundaries—her charm is irresistible! On top of her snuggling skills, Bonnie takes her role as head counter of the household very seriously, making sure every family member is present and accounted for. She adores her people, belly rubs, baths, and family roll call. Squirrels and stray cats aren’t her favorite—she votes for “chase”—so she’s not suited for homes with cats. With dogs, she’s friendly and playful, but is also content as your only furry family member. While she hasn’t lived with small children, she’s adored everyone she’s met. Bonnie is completely housetrained, trustworthy when left alone, and will sometimes sneak onto the couch if allowed. Her perfect family is loving and active, happy to include her in daily life, and committed to lots of snuggles and play. Whether with another dog or as the star of the household, Bonnie will give plenty of loyalty and affection in return. Bonnie is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She’s available for adoption in IL and CT. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
